Speed = Distance / Time ..

Recommended Posts

Neither, but your assumption is flawed anyway; [straight] distance divided by time equals velocity.

'Speed' is different.

errr, no. Speed is a scalar quantity which measures how fast an object is moving (distance moved/time taken). Velocity is a vector quantity which measures the rate at which an object changes its position. When describing the velocity of an object you must also describe the direction.
