abroadhead Posted August 20, 2012 Share Posted August 20, 2012 I am interested to know if anyone knows about what appears to be a spring rising from Weston Park, trickling down towards the duck pond. Picture here and precise location in the park here. There was a substantial flow of water even during the dry spell earlier this year, so I don't think it is just drainage. It might be a leaking mains from somewhere. A spring is not marked on any of the historical maps I've looked at which go back to the 1850s, and the maps earlier than this don't cover this far out of Sheffield. There are plenty of springs in the area that have been covered and built over and I'd like to know if anyone can confirm this one? Perhaps any older Sheffield Forum members remember it from long ago?
