VHS to DVD Recorders

Recommended Posts

Hello, I was wondering what the best home made solution is to transferring VHS tapes to DVD, I have only been able to find these players/recorders that should do direct transfers straight on to DVD but would like to know which would generally produce the best bang for buck.

I have noticed that a lot of retailers are stocking less and less of these nowadays and will only be a matter of time before you wont be able to buy one brand new from anywhere.

Also, I have heard that Klick do a transferring service but how much does that all cost regarding VHS tapes, especially seeing as my mum has stuff stored on mini camcorder tapes and mini DV discs.

Will any camera place do transferring, will places like Jessops and the like do it all no matter which size, format or age the stuff is stored on.

Both of these will give good results, carefully check the specs and decide which one suits you. Panasonic are usually good recorders.

Gartons on Halifax Rd was selling used older models for around £25, but this was around 12 months ago.
