Crustycrab
Anyone who remembers the old brick works near Stannington, think it was Dysons. Wonder if you remember a guy called E Nichols
OntarioOwl
I remember it. My great uncle worked there for many a year. My grandad, his brother, worked at Marshalls at Loxley.
WTAW
Hi, I used to work at Dyson's and my husband still does. I think you are talking about Elvin. Nice, friendly guy who passed away shortly after retiring. Used to work with Selwyn and Malcolm Horsfield.
rogdodge
I also work at Dysons. When you say your husband works at Dysons, I know this not to be strictly true as he is in QC.
sweetdexter
I once had occasion about 10 years ago to visit a gentleman who lived up Stannington. He told me he used to be a 'Clay Miner'. His name was Jack Goodison . Would he have had connections with Dysons?

sweetdexter
When I met Jack Goodison he had already retired and was learning to play the organ. His wife had recently died of cancer and Jack had put together a book of local carols ,the proceeds of which were going to Cancer research. The purpose of my visit was to buy one of these books. I have just checked my passport and the visit would have been at the beginning of March 1998. He must have passed away shortly after March
WTAW
I also work at Dysons. When you say your husband works at Dysons, I know this not to be strictly true as he is in QC. When you say you also work at Dysons that's not strictly true cos you are always in the QC Lab with my husband!!!!!
