Quite right, I remember watching a documentary that stated 40 of the most frequent Concorde flyers died on 9/11. Which would have had a huge short term impact on revenues.

 

I didn't know that. That's quite significant.

 

If the crash was the last nail in the coffin, it took about 3 years to take effect!

I left an option for 'other' and it seems you selected that (or at least you could have). Not so stupid then was it? An option for everyone :D

Beautiful plane, too heavy on fuel, too noisy for most airports, limited carrying capacity.

 

The crash was not due to any mechanical defect

 

Anyone who would like to see the inside of one, the prototype is on display at Duxford Air Museum
