Medical Question - Is It Normal Not Having A Poo For Over A Week?

Recommended Posts

What's normal for your friend?

How frequently someone "goes" varies from person to person. Some people "go" a couple of times a day, others can go days and days, without "going". and you'll find people at all points between the two points.

Was he normally "regular". and suddenly stopped "going"? Or is it that he normally doesn't "go" for a week?

If he thinks it's a problem, the best thing to do is for him to ask his GP about it. If you have changed bowel habits for over a couple of weeks, or are encountering bleeding, then the recommendation is to seek your GP's advice.

The OP is Rampent, he doesn't do serious:hihi::hihi:

He was normal = like once a day. And then he started going out with me. Six pints of Stella and burgers from vans. He keeps eating some health foods like nuts and onions in the evening before bed. I told him tonight that a good hot curry might help out

Good thread - there is a national campaign about bowel movements at the minute!

Passing blood in your stool is not something you might feel comfortable talking about - but if you do, it might be wise to see your doctor - albeit a little embarrassing - it's better to be safe than sorry!

That's the thing Chem - he can't pass nothing :( I can let him type if that's OK?
