The one where British forces were on their arse also. What's more, the Free French continued to fight. De Gaulle has huge faults, but capitulating to nazis wasn't one of them. Ah, right...the kind of 'rescue' the Brits provided, that ended at Dunkirk? The time for which was 'bought' by what remained of the French forces (about 2 divisions' worth) funnily enough? The Free French reformulated an army in Britain and Algeria, and fought in Africa and landed on D-Day. It's not an extreme statement to say that without the channel in the way, Britain too would've been taken easily. The first few years of the war were Hitler's peak achievements.
