Blasphemy case against a Christian minor.

Recommended Posts

No, there are many of us who interpret it in the light of modern times.

There are many who ignore the parts that no longer make sense or society has dictated as 'out of fashion'. Like no Christian still thinks it correct that "thou shall not suffer a witch to live" (Ex 22:18 ) - an enlightened Muslim would no longer think it correct that they should "... cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" (Qu'ran 8:12).

The use of religious books is one man's route to enlightenment, and another man's route to evil.

Its the Koran my dear,it was written well over a thousand years ago its followers still interpret it now as they did then...literally.
Some of it was written much longer ago than that! Conceived, contrived, cut and pasted together in a manner that would surely violate the EULA had it been done using Microsoft Office! :hihi:

No religious book has ever been a route to enlightenment. Quite the contrary, in fact, unless one uses them to reach the top shelf to bring down a copy of Richard Dawkin's or Christopher Hitchens' great works!

Many people believe otherwise.

Only by being selective with which parts of their holy book they believe in.

Yes, that's a given.

The Bible does tell us to kill witches; but luckily, now, people ignore it.

Indeed.

No, I hadn't but I'm reading the extracts right now. Interesting reading.
