manceryder
£20 a head seems a bit much. Nice day out but very expensive.

Alien52
We all need to contribute to keep the poor Devonshires in the manner they are used to.They can come and look around my house for £20 each.

Strix
Was that for a house tour or the country show though? Considering how much there is to do for free at the show once you're in, it's a bargain
looby1003
The op is referring to the Country Fair that was held this weekend, not the general price (it's normally free to go in the grounds apart from a parking fee) but obviously there's a charge to go in the house and gardens. We go to the fair every year and seeing as its free for kids under 14 I don't think it's a bad price for families. We were there yesterday from 9.45 and didnt leave until 7.45 so certainly had iur moneys worth :-) We alwsys take a huge picnic, enough for lunch and tea so dont spend on food and drink (id rather save it for the craft tents ;-) ) We were saying yesterday that if it was any cheaper then it would be too busy, and there were thousands there yesterday! Put that way you are probably right, next year we will make more of a day of it and get our moneysworth.
