The best of a mediocre bunch are 'An American Werewolf in London' and 'Carrie', but it depends on what you're after. I enjoyed 'Deadly Pledge' in a it's so terrible you can't look away from the screen sort of way, but if you're a hard-core horror fan you'll likely find an episode of The Archers more traumatising.
