Midland Players are looking for prospective directors for our Spring production, when our production week starts on Sunday March 17th, with performances 20th-23rd. We are looking for volunteers to direct, with proposals for a play/plays that you are interested in directing. In return we can offer an experienced company both on and back stage and a production budget of around £950. If you are interested or want to know more please contact chairman@midlandplayers.co.uk, bids with suggested plays need to be received by 20th September. Once bids are in we will choose a selection of the suggested plays from across the directors to read during the end of September/early October, and we would then expect to audition and have cast before Christmas. The committee has put together a guideline document which aims to help clarify what can be expected from the committee in the way of input and support, and also what it is felt should be the contribution/responsibility from the director.
