Halibut
If you lift your head out of Socialst Worker and read properly what I wrote..... The far right does not exist in any significant numbers - It just suits the Hard Left to portray themselves as heroic defenders against Fascism.... When in reality it is the policies of the Left that actually do push normal people to vote for the bnp Apologies - you're correct, I misread your post. I don't read the Socialist Worker. Who are the 'hard left' when they're at home?
dosxuk
How about uncontrolled open door mass immigration, as introduced by Labour post 1997. If we had said uncontrolled immigration, how come: a) so few people came here? b) various MPs lost their jobs over various illegal immigrant issues? c) we had a war of words with France over the siting of the Sangatte camp? and d) most importantly, why did the words "illegal" immigrant even exist during that period? Surely if as you say, the doors were open, then nobody could be here illegally?
Halibut
I see the BNP publicity machine has got back on track on the forum ,funny really the BNP is more of a dead horse these days and almost forgotten yet suddenly the, supposedly, anti right wing publicity machine swings into motion and resurrects its memory,I wonder why ? Racists, like the poor are always with us. It's interesting to see who comes out the woodwork on threads of this sort.
Birds
Who are the 'hard left' when they're at home? Its another way of saying far left; there has to be a far left if there's a far right.
Halibut
Its another way of saying far left; there has to be a far left if there's a far right. I know that thanks. I'm asking for someone to identify a well known figure or group from the far/hard left. Are there any?
manceryder
They seem to have done pretty well, although a coalition with the Lib Dems may be holding them back a bit. I am a supporter of the Conservative party. I am not a "right winger" in the way that "right wingers" are being portrayed on this thread, I am not a fascist or a fan of Hitler, who I believe was actually a socialist. Please do not, through your own ignorance accuse me and those like me of Nazi/NF/BNP sympathies. If I have to choose someone not of my political leanings to be associated with give me a Liberal or a supporer of the Labour party anytime. LeMaquis
.....I am not a fascist or a fan of Hitler, who I believe was actually a socialist. There are two versions of Pastor Niemollers "First they came" text. The Martin-Niemöller-Foundation has the first lines as follows; "First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist". The American version omits the reference to Communists because during the Cold War it was politically convenient to do so. It starts with the Socialists. The following is from the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust; http://hmd.org.uk/resources/poetry/first-they-came-pastor-martin-niemoller I think they have a better understanding of Hitler's politics than you and would therefore prove that if Hitler's number two enemy was the Socialists then it's unlikely Hitler was one. AWOL
One myth of the far right is that the following is declining. It is in fact rising sharply.
