How did she manage to move forward. everything has just stopped for me. I feel like I've shut down there's no help at all out there. I've thought about having to move but moving is out of the question just now. it's very expensive to move. and nothing is easy as the years roll on. it's not like when your young you can take anything on. your mom did Relly well to find the strength to move on.

Hi Linda,

My Mum was a very strong- willed person and once she'd made her mind up to move there was no going back.

It was the early '70s and so probably much easier and less expensive to move in those days, although they had lived there for 20 years. I think another factor might have been that I had recently married and left home. The 'empty nest syndrome' might have played a part. Most of my upbringing took place in that house.

Anyhow, although most of their lives were spent in and around Sheffield, at 60 they did move on, with a few years on the East coast before finally ending up in North Yorkshire where I live.

I'm so pleased she came through it. I wish I could find her strength and courage.

A very good morning Linda, I'm just off shopping...

You do seem to like posting on this thread, why don't you join us on the "I'm bored section" thread.

It might not cheer you up, but I guarantee after a couple of weeks on there you will finish up completely mental...

Have a nice day Linda, and take care.

Good morning Padders. Don't go spending too much, thank you for the invite but I don't really know how to use the site and find treads. I'm not as computer savvy as you. I need a few lessons. I'm not sure how to put on a picture either. Hope you find a few bargains out there.

Spent a ruddy fortune, you don't get much change out of a Fiver these days.
