Parvo
It amazes me how many people in this country (government, the WWF) are concerned about species abroad - elephants, tigers, rhinos, the apes...etc.. yet accept and support the slaughter of badgers.......what a bunch of total hypocrites........ MadManMoon
The spread of TB is mainly down to bad farming but farmers are quite happy to kill Badgers in order to save themselves. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/oct/04/farming-shortcomings-badger-cull-bovine-tb?CMP=twt_gu The government is only authorising a Cull because its what the National Farmers Union want and these people donate heavily to Tory party. As far as I am aware every other political party is against Badger Cull. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/38257

Parvo
STOP point scoring on party politics....basically they were all at it because farmers are a powerful lobby...and it pacifies them for a while in spite of it having no basis in scientific study.....Sign the petition if nothing else. whilst not wanting to go off subject, they are now objecting to the pesticides ban which is there in an attempt to protect bees - govt seem to be supporting farmers on that one too..... MadManMoon
Its Badger Monday on Twitter. The hashtag followed by badgermonday and voice your objection to Badger Cull and Tory right wing nutter Owen Paterson who is organising the Cull. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2312299/The-squirrel-killing-Minister-Wildlife-Environment-Secretary-Owen-Paterson-shows-photo-proudly-holding-dead-greys-hanging-traps--boasts-They-wont-that.html We had it trending on Twitter last week
Mudbug
The Badger culls are due to begin in June 2013, it’s now or never for the badgers! Brian May has launched a petition so they can deliver 250,000 voices against the badger cull to ensure that the Government can’t ignore this any longer. Murphy Jnr
Already signed but I have doubts as to it doing any good. The NFU are arses and government salivate at the prospect of kissing them.

There's no chance it will happen. Too many people and experts are against it. Even if they are stupid enough to try it hundreds of protesters will be flooding the areas to disrupt it. I've Tweeted Cameron many times to warn him of the trouble he will be in if someone gets shot. He will be kicked out of office in disgrace. Also Somerset Tourism are very unhappy about it as many people have told them they won't be visiting due to Badger Cull. Its yet another complete shambles by the Nasty Party. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/38257 Even the Tories friends in the right wing Tory supporting Daily Mail say it will not happen: http://hanlonblog.dailymail.co.uk/2013/03/badger-cull-it-will-not-happen.html ---------- Post added 09-05-2013 at 23:11 ---------- The Badger culls are due to begin in June 2013, it’s now or never for the badgers!
