Watch out! we better not make them angry, they might start slamming phones down. God almighty what a statement, it might make them angry, :hihi::loopy:

Depends on the dog. It's certainly not unheard of for dogs to violently turn on their owners.

And do you really think people like the guy who got imprisoned for joking on Twitter needs daily beatings to make him not want to go back?

Each case should be looked at individually. Perhaps just a weekly one for him would suffice.:)

Admitted he should'nt have gone to prison, someone should have called to his house every week to break his fingers.:hihi:

Prisons became much softer after the prison riots that caused massive damage. The authorities are afraid that they may kick off again and so tread very softly and let the convicts run the "prisons" as they wish.

The Strangeways Riot of 1990 cost £55 million to put right.

Isnt it about time this legislation was scrapped.

No.

It does nothing for the victims.

It's not about victims, it's about all of us.

It gives rights to the criminal fraternity and the latest it might mean people leave prison early

No-one in the article to which you link will leave early because of the human rights act, or this ruling. The article makes it clear they've already served their full tariff.

It's about how they prove they're fit to return to society, not that they will.
