Bruno
We all know it can be a bit of a art form to land on exactly £10 or £20 etc. Should petrol pumps be randomly checked by some other officials to see if they are calibrated correctly. I stopped the fuel at £19.99 withdrew the pump, still on £19.99 as soon as I put the pump back into its holder it jumped to £20 This was at Tesco's Chapeltown, does this happen anywhere else? I know it's only 1p but if this happens everywhere then sounds dodgy.

martss
They are calibrated, there's usually a sticker on the pump showing the date of last calibration or there may be a notice on the door as you go in to pay.

mike-s
Why not leave it at £19.99 and let THEM give YOU the penny back!?, Probably just as annoying for them!
smithy266
Try stopping at £19.98 then.

alchresearch
In this day and age of paying by card, is it pointless to just put in exactly £10 or £20? It's just a number.
