You did what your heart told you to do - and good on you for it, if it was a con you lost a fiver, if not, you may have saved her a long walk home. you will sleep tonight without any trouble. Germany uses a system called 'Hartz Vier' (translate it yourself) The Hartz Vier programme provides everything necessary to enable an individual to live - but provides no luxuries. Many people complain about it - but nobody starves, nobody goes without adequate clothing, nobody suffers from hypothermia and nobody goes without shelter.
