Guest sibon
I believe Clegg is the most sorry politician I have ever seen! I believe that he has finally seen the writing on the wall. Just before conference season, surprisingly. No amount of hand wringing is going to buy back the votes of students (and their parents) who face a £50+K bill, to get a degree. It might just keep the blood off the carpet in Brighton next week.

Guest sibon
You missed out Milk Snatcher and Smarmy Dave! I did that on purpose. Some people think that they served a purpose. My list was a list of incompetents and criminals:) Sometimes both.

Stoatwobbler
He's not even in the same Ballpark as: Harold Wilson Michael Foot Fred Mulley Jim Callaghan Tony Blair and George Brown. Clegg may well be a plonker, but he's got a long way to go to come anywhere near the above. I would honestly rate Nick Clegg as one of the very worst party leaders in British history. Right down there with the likes of Michael Foot, George Lansbury, Lord North, Henry Addington and the Duke of Wellington. He's totally unfit to lead the Liberal Democrats. He's made the leadership of his own party into a poison chalice.
Mister M
The price of power was to ditch that election promise. If they weren't potentially facing annihilation at the next election, I doubt very much whether he'd be sorry.
Mister M
I didn't think we were allowed to talk about snakes on this forum. Some people have phobias. Even about trouser snakes. Like those of Tory shaggers such as Cecil Parkinson's? I think Maggy was partial to a bit of his
