I take it you failed to find a single word of condenmation in this country which as I said earlier plays straight into the hands of the BNP. You might consider it is your ears that are quite clearly the deaf ones. In your rush to make excuses all the time you seem quite incapable of understanding the outrage. It just makes it less likely that when someone sees members of the BNP kicking the crap out of a taxi driver that they will lift a finger to help.

What bizarre reasoning. I'm sure most people are sensible enough to realise that most Muslims in this country would condemn such behaviour. It would only take you a short while on the internet to find evidence of this, but it seems very peculiar that you're so insistent on hearing people who aren't responsible for what was said and have nothing whatsoever to do with it condemning it.

Why don't you just go and ask a Muslim neighbour or colleague or whoever?

Well I put this challenge to Boy Friday and he didn't find any. So I'll challenge you to do the same.

No I didn't fail, as I said the muslims I've encountered since this minster's utterances have been perfectly happy to volunteer their negative opinion of him and extremism generally, that's good enough for me, Ive suggested previously you engage with them and canvas their views rather than whinging about what you havent heard them say.

What 'plays into the hands of the BNP' are feeble minded people who associate the actions of individuals with a community of people in a foreign country.

You might consider it is your ears that are quite clearly the deaf ones.

But my hearing perfectly adequate, and I havent even been making the demands on the local Muslim community that you have.

In your rush to make excuses all the time you seem quite incapable of understanding the outrage.

As I said, deaf ears and feeble minds. You'll have to look hard on this thread to find me making excuses for this minister, in fact quite the contrary, but what I won't do is make excuses for reasons to deride a whole community of people.

It just makes it less likely that when someone sees members of the BNP kicking the crap out of a taxi driver that they will lift a finger to help.

Oh are you suggesting that makes it alright then? Do you honestly believe someone who's likely to 'kick the crap out of a taxi driver' is likely to be swayed from doing so because of what Muslims might say or not say? Do you believe anyone should live in a climate of fear because they haven't soothed your anxieties the way you want them to?

To be quite honest if you demanded I denounce the utterances of some black radical purely because I'm black I'd quite happily tell you to eff off.

I don't need to. I know that my Muslim colleagues are in no way associated with extremism and that they don't support clowns like this minister.

Why are you challenging me? You're the one with the grievance and thirst for reparation. I've no problem with moderate Muslims so feel no need to challenge them. If it bothers you sufficiently why dont you go and ask them what they feel, if you encounter any who support this minister I'd be very surprised.
