PaliRichard
Some Muslims think they are at war, so it is in context, you just need to accept that people are all different and think differently, not everyone thinks the same as you, and just because they don’t doesn’t make them wrong. The answer to that particular point can be found in my previous post.

Violence, intolerance and so on can be dealt with by the law without the law needing to refer to any specific religious (or indeed, racial) group. The 'Rules and Articles of War' are quite clear. If -as you say - 'some Muslims' think they are 'at war' why do they not declare war on those with whom they think they are at war? The time will come (and it may not be that far away) when some Muslim nations find that although they have not declared war against anybody, other nations have interpreted their acts as being 'acts of war.' Life could be difficult for a while - but no doubt the wealthy Muslim nations will step in and make up the shortfalls caused by those western w*ankers who've finally realised we hate them. Like wot they always do ... or is it the West wot gives us the money?

The following text is the fatwa published on Feb. 23, 1998, to declare a holy war against the West and Israel. It is signed by Osama bin Laden, head of al Qaeda; Ayman al-Zawahiri, head of Jihad Group in Egypt, and other Islamic terrorist groups. Al-Qaeda declared war on the United States and its allies two times before the attacks on September 11, 2001. Those two declarations came in the form of fatwas, a type of Islamic religious decree.
