We're looking for a cheap hotel not too far from city centre but needs to be big enough to fit all of us in (5 couples so 5 rooms). Alternatively we were thinking of two hotels close to each other. ChrisT70 Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 try and avoid any weekends/dates that clash with a big race meeting at york, all the hotels work a pricing policy that bumps prices up around the busy weekends. we've stayed in one that was £100 a night and was great and for the big meetings it suddenly becomes £200 a night! Cant believe it...well thats the point - we only can go for sat & sun and i found some rooms round 50-80 quid but they havent got enough rooms for all of us. Moosey Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 The travelodge mentioned earlier is good. Decent for a travelodge as some are rubbish, and it's easy to walk to everything from there.
