Perhaps we should allow mobility scooters to use the tram network like dodgems? Surely they could be kitted out to use the tram network? Can you imagine Park Square Bridge with a convoy of pensioners on mobility scooters trundling into Sheffield with Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries blasting out. All the way to the Bankers draft for an afternoon sesh! Come teatime, they could convoy back across it merry as eck with Roxy Music - Love is the Drug blasting out. Parkhill could be electrified and turned into the largest retirement complex in Europe! Sheffield could once again be known as a 'city on the move' for the right reasons.
