Resident
just seen on the bbc news that councils are cutting back on bus services, how is this possibke when the bus services are run by private companies and not the councils!?? Councils subsidise bus routes, particularly ones that don't make a profit so that the bus companies will run them. The cutback will be this subsidy. Which means that the bus companies will start axing services, particularly ones to rural areas.

What the charge for a ticket??, they should pay the council, not have taxpayers giving them even more cash to line their pockets!!!
