Refused access to medical specialist without painkillers

Recommended Posts

A right to a second opinion involves a second opinion from the same speciality. In this case that would be another GP.

For many conditions where pain is the presenting complaint a GP would be unlikely to refer to 2ry care unless the patient was compliant with basic analgesia.

What speciality does a GP have?

You're making the assumption that any and every part of a GPs job could be done better and more efficiently by the at least one vareity of hospital based specialist. Many conditions and presentations never get anywhere near a hospital because they're managed appropriately in primary care.

I object to the attitiude that a GP is someone you have to blag past to get to a real Dr in a big hospital.

Firstly i don't like you making assumptions on my behalf

and lets get things clear G.Ps are highly skilled people in what they do and invariably it is them that refer you to a specialist.

now let me make an assumption you are a troll and as such this will be my final reply

You made a thoughtless crass statement to which i made a measured response. If you think that makes me a troll then you are mistaken and just a touch precious.
