Katwalk
Wanting to organise an afternoon of line dancing, tea & healthy buns before Christmas for anyone who would be interested but I don't know how to linedance or what's involved... Would consider other types of dancing as the event will be aimed at members of the older generation who may not get much opportunity to get out and exercise but also young people who may learn a thing or two. Any help/thoughts/suggestions appreciated. Donations of funds raised would be given to charity. Thanks, Kate
Jive Knight
I think line dancing has faded away... it's all about Zumba now. Which is the same as line-dancing (everyone dances as individuals, following the instructor's moves), but using Latin dance tracks rather than C&W. Which is my suggestion: contact a few Zumba instructors and specify that you are looking at an older audience so they need to pitch the exercise level (and possibly the choice of music) appropriately.
