What years were you at Pye Bank and can you recall anyone else who lived in that area. I dont know why but friends i grew up with in the 60s and early 70s seemed to have vanished. lisalee
I loved living and growing up in Pitsmoor in the 80's. My neighbour, who I looked up to as a big brother, used to take me to the Limit on Saturday mornings for the breakdancing! I used to go to Sunday School at Christ Church when Don Sparks was the vicar. I loved school too, Pye Bank Nursery First and Trinity. We used to chalk hopscotch on the pavement, sit on the swings in the Summer till dusk fell, roll down the hills at the park near Rock Street, call at the Whitehouse chippy for chips and scraps, memories of a great childhood. Hi Lisalee, I know what you mean. I may be a bit older than you but Pitsmoor was a great place to be brought up. There was a great community spirt were everyone would pitch in together if needed to. I aso went to Christ Church sunday school and joined girls brigade. We would march round the streets with the band playing on a sunday, that was in the mid 60s. Was it still done in the 80s?
