Drone
the whole culture of the Labour Party means that leaders of the party who would be toast in other parties are allowed to stay as leader. They just didn't have enough bottle to mount a conspiracy to beat Brown. The Tories in 1990 didn't make the same mistake. They got rid of Thatcher despite her folk hero status, and who was if anything less of an electoral liability in 1990 than Brown was in 2009, and they won the next election as a result. Labour might have done the same. He who hesitates is lost. That was just it, they were scared of brown and so let him take control. Brown was violent while in office to his staff He smashed phones, printers anything he could get hold of

callippo
though they are not exactly laughing, they've got plenty more to smile about at the moment than the Labour Party have. They haven't lost 5 million votes since 1997 like Labour have. They've gained a million. Which is why they, and not Labour, are governing the country at the moment. They have nothing to smile about even now, they have their work cut out and probably might not even be in power on the next election Best Man should get the jobs not who cameron chooses, they say their here for us yet can't even work together like adults, instead they just try and out do each other and point score... callippo
they have their work cut out. haha it's not supposed to be easy. You're supposed to have to work hard, to get power. And even harder, to keep it. And I'm a Labour voter!

I mean this is the hardest it has ever been for any of them, they really do have their work cut out, they might not sort it and it's worrying because I don't have faith in them
callippo
don't underestimate them. They are one of the best political parties in western Europe. And they are used to governing. Believe it or not, they're good at it. They're good enough at it to survive the horrendous setback they suffered in 1997, I said that day they would be out for 2 more elections before they got back in. I was wrong and they were out for 2 and a half. 2010 was only half an election. Make no mistake they know the battle that is ahead. It's a proper battle. Labour are just a bunch of wishy washy old women basically. They don't know how to fight. They aren't taught how to do it. If anybody in the Labour party thinks they are just going waltz back into power, they'd better think again. It's going to be hard.
