As you know, houses prices go up and down, good times, bad times. If you're talking about decades ago when they bought for silly money, then it was in line with incomes at that time.

 

Yes, but they are not now, which is the point I made. People that say I worked hard for it, why can't people now do the same just don't get that UK prices are now many more multiples of typical income than they were when they bought making it orders of magnitude more difficult to get the deposit. And then they often complain they can't sell their house to any FTB in the next sentence.

I have two houses and am very probably much wealthier that you with your window cleaning round. It does not mean that I have sold my soul to the devil however. I have still retained my magnanimity, compassion and philanthropic nature.

I am not a "let them eat cakes" type who isn't very intelligent like you.:hihi:
