On Thursday 11th October, Steve Lamacq and his BBC 6Music team will be broadcasting their programme live from Sheffield's Crucible as part of BBC 5Live’s Octoberfest event. From 6-7pm they will be presenting the always ace weekly new releases discussion panel ROUNDTABLE.

We’re throwing a bit of a do with him at The Harley afterwards. We'll be showcasing some of the ace guitar and indie inspired talent of the city’s music scene in the shape of Hey Sholay, Best Friends and Sweet Nothings.

Come down and join in the fun. Ex-Fuzz Club DJ Badabing will be DJing between the bands.

Tickets are just £3.00

HEY SHOLAY

Psychedelic guitar-pop from the hotly-tipped band with one of the best frontmen in modern music. The band have just released their début album Burning, to pretty much universal acclaim, and this show will form the Sheffield date of their UK tour. Visit the website to order your copy of the record.

BEST FRIENDS

Surf inspired guitar mayhem. Tunes aplenty and nonstop foot tapping.

THE SWEET NOTHINGS

A passion for old-school indie-pop, 4th division football and a damn fine mug of tea. Singing jangling songs with a wry look at modern life.
