Kersplosh
I have had a call from the vets telling me that the Boa Constrictor baby (3 1/2 foot long ) is doing very well and has been collected by a snake specialist from the RSPCA. It was not a Python as I suggested earlier and once it warmed up at ARK VETS it became rather fiesty (oopsy) and had some dinner ?? Hope no one is missing any gerbils from the vets :hihi: Why anyone would want to just dump a snake that is worth a lot of money on a pub car park baffles me For those of you out there that want to get rid of a pet because of any reason there is the RSPCA the PDSA and your local vets who will find a new home for it where it is respected for its life. I'm just happy that my family is an animal friendly one and I was there to help a fellow animal out.

Total Chaos
You should have wrapped it tight around yourself, that would have kept it warm while outside.
nexusdee
Pythons are good at escaping and it could well have come from a nearby house, although there aren't that many there to come from I suppose. Then again someone probably did get bored of it, or go frightened by how big they grow to and went and dumped it. Well done for rescuing it - let's hope that if it was an escapee the owners are reunited soon. I agree, Snakes are great at escaping! Also many reptile shops will buy large snakes so I cant see why anyone would just simply release it if they could sell it for a few quid - especially when it seems it has been well looked after (just trying to be optimistic)
