Glamrocker
Try looking at the YouTube march in Rotherham, then go to the comments and read some of the vile, racist comments. You mean the comment on this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S14NUTijxQU Nice
Glamrocker
From what Iv seen on the videos I was quite surprised ,the speaker at the town hall was very lucid and brought up some fair points the one minutes silence was respectfully observed and it all seemed to go ok with no trouble. LeMaquis
You mean the comment on this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S14NUTijxQU Nice Better one here with a photo of the EDL and NF together. The NF banner containes the words "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children", a Nazi slogan. Nice that the EDL hangs about with a bunch of Nazis. http://www.islamophobia-watch.com/islamophobia-watch/2012/6/4/edl-joins-neo-nazis-in-attack-on-anti-jubilee-party.html http://www.americannaziparty.com/about/index.php
charlie_boy
Biggest problem with the EDL is the anti facists. Although their hearts in the right place they see the best option to protest against them. Why not just ignore the EDL. The EDL thrive on attention and trouble. Ignoring them will take the fizzle out of the protest. They will quickly dissapate. Why should they dissapate, why shouldnt they grow and stronger?! Glamrocker
I cant find any videos for the UAF demo so to be fair its not possible to comment, apart from the Jihad flag which someone mentioned was being displayed I also have heard no negative comments on that demo,I am unsure about the meaning of the jihad flag used here ,is there any negative or indeed positive reason for it ? There was the odd one in the background possibly looking for trouble, but the main body and the vast majority of onlookers were not. However the other demo by the UAF, seemed more aggressive, might have been the weed smell or the jihadist flag, but IMO it was the anger in the faces. Still only a snapshot. charlie_boy
MY COMMENTS ARE A SNAPSHOT OF THE ACTUAL EVENT AND MY THREAD HAS BEEN MERGED WITH PREVIOUS THREADS I HAVE NO PART IN OR KNOWLEDGE OF. I went to Rotherham on the day to take a look at the Demo and see for myself what both sides had to say. The UAF consisted of about 200 to 300 people, with about the same spectating. Most of the shouts were 'Nazi scum' Racict scum' that type of thing. A local MP spoke, calling the EDL supporters 'Plebs' plus the above. At the front were around 40 to 50 Muslim lads with this banner http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Jihad.svg The stench of weed was overpowering. The EDL demo was around 500 to 600 strong, about the same spectating. Very much an 'on the way to the match' feeling. Some non white people, with an Israeli flag and banners about the well known decades long RMBC cover up of child sex slave gangs. Here is what they had to say. http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/334820 I spoke to a Hallam Fm reporter, asking if she had been given any abuse. For two reasons, one being a reporter, the other being non white. She said 'no' 'just a lot of no comments' nice lass. Overall I found the UAF demo more threatening, I would like to say that the Police on the whole 99% were friendly and helpful. My sister was there and also said she found the UAF giving off more of a threatening vibe than the EDL. An interesting post.
