teuton
Bonfire night is terrible for the environment and certain people take it as an opportunity to set off fireworks for weeks after bonfire night

ApplesPears
Usually there are more events going on in the weekend adjacent to Bonfire Night than on the night itself.
max
Do you know anything more about this as it doesn't seem to be on their website and I emailed them but didn't get a response. They're on Facebook and have an image of their flyer on there: Hope this works.

I'm with Dooley on this one BN is great, always looked forward to it as it's only 4 days to my birthday after it. Bet you loved it as a kid, I know fireworks can be a pain, but they do look nice when done properly.

larky
Personally when young we had many bonfires in the village and would go around knocking on folks doors asking if they had anything they would like thrown out for our bonfire etc looking back now, it was also a good way in helping folks get rid of their unwanted goods so both parties were happy But nowadays paying to see a bonfire is rather pathetic and also is unlike yesteryear in the 60s / 70s when many large bonfires was the thing in our then mining village, and also were many around folks back gardens Nowadays paying to see one large bonfire and tickets for such , is really a joke As for fireworks i feel they should be banned for good as animals go through h-ll with the noise they make, and theyre going off way long before bonfire night being sold from our supermarkets and thats one thing the Government can easy stop but wont im fortunate now ive no dog or cat to think about but many folks have ive seen the state my dog used to get into and really like many things i think the good ole days were so much more fun without fireworks fireworks were a Chinese thing , i say let them in China make their noise and scare poor animals as they do The only one thing id have wanted to happen many moons ago but Guy Fawkes never done what he set out to do and that was to blow the Houses of Parliament up and just looking at who is in power now, and what theyre doing to the British poor in Society Its just a pity he failed in his mission ..
