There's a halal fish and chip shop in Firth Park. How does that work?

Recommended Posts

There's a guy works down the halal chip shop swears he's Elvis.

don't you mean "Swears he's Hafiz?" ;)

actually, Halal means that the meat is halal, as, like someone said earlier, fish with scales is halal to eat. Some Schools of thought say Shellfish is haram (like in the rules of Kosher) others say it is permissible.

Generally the oil used for frying in halal fisheries is vegetable oil, and chips are fried separately from meat products so it's not cross-contaminated.

Dixie Chicken make a deal out of selling Halal food so that leads me to suspect KFC dont ?

Don't think there is a DC in Sheffield so just take my word for it that it is tip top stuff :D

I believe the KFC on Queens road is/ was serving halal meat.

I don't know of a DC in Sheffield, either.

There are plenty of halal "Southern Fried Chicken" franchises around Sheffield, particularly in the Wicker/ Spital Hill area, and on the City end of London Road.
