Amaranthus
Usually use Shell v-power but I was in a rush today and filled up in Sainsbury's. Now my car engine has cut out twice for no reason, lumpy idle at lower rpm than usual, slight loss of power on acceleration... Anyone else experienced this? I used the super unleaded so I thought it would be ok but evidently not. Would be a bit of a coincidence if it was a completely unrelated random problem. Guest
No I haven't. The only 99-RON supermarket fuel I've used is Tescos. Your car will need time to adjust.
Amaranthus
Should I dilute it with some v-power. You think that might help?

skinz
I have problems no matter where I get my fuel from. My bank balance reduces dramatically.
Happ Hazzard
I think it's watered down. I only buy petrol from proper petrol stations.

Oil companies use different tankers to fill the supermarkets, reserving the premium grade fuel for their own outlets.Having said that it may be the supermarkets who are adulterating the fuels by adding foreign agents(not spies)

Amaranthus
I'll go put some real fuel in now, only problem is I've got half a tank of this crap to get rid of. It won't have caused any permanent harm will it?
Amaranthus
Just put in a quarter tank v-power and already the acceleration power is back, but the engine is still cutting out.
