A very dangerous path indeed. People have always been prosecuted for dangerous and extremely offensive comments both spoken and in print. Why should it be different for comments made on the internet? We have never had unlimited freedom to say whatever we want so what are you talking about? He was not challenging the government or speaking out against injustice. He was trolling and aiming his comments at people hoping to find her or expressing sympathy. Hopefully these crimes will continue to be prosecuted because they can lead to suicides in extreme cases.
