Fright Night is Britain’s biggest Halloween Carnival, attracting over 40,000 people into the City Centre each year and has become a Sheffield institution!

Always staged on the Sunday before Halloween this year Sunday 28th October 2012, we close the roads in Sheffield City Centre around Fargate, Tudor Square, Barkers Pool, Peace Gardens, Surrey Street, Leopold Street, Orchard Square, Millennium Square & Winter Gardens for this ‘mass promenade’ event.

Attractions in 2011 included a Giant Puppet, urban dance, the Titan Robot, Shopping Trolley Grannies, Fire Horse, Ghostbusters car, Dr Who Tardis and Dalek, a Scream Tent, a Giant Cycling Hippo, fancy dress catwalk, funfair rides/stalls, samba band, food stalls, children’s activities & craft stalls.

This year we have teamed up with award winning magician Steve Faulkner and the Sheffield City Hall to bring you an evening of world top magicians, mind readers and lots of fun at ‘Steve Faulkner’s Fright Night Magic Show’. Travel South Yorkshire are encouraging event goers to leave their cars at home and get to the event by bus, tram and train.

In addition to the main event we stage a "Fright Night's Little Brother" event on The Moor with loads of Halloween fun for younger children between 12 noon & 3pm.

The event is made possible with the support and help of Sheffield City Council, Travel South Yorkshire, Real Radio, Sheffield Youth Service, The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Newspapers, First Buses and many other partners.

Been tonight with our 3 girls, some good things, some bad. Never been before so can't compare things, but most of it seemed to be a cost thing, stalls, rides and food/drink vans. Did get to have my pic took with the stormtroopers so not all bad...
