bouncing
When the engine is off I can move through the gears no problem. But with engine running it is difficult to engage gears. When selecting reverse there is a crunch and the car jumps. Any advice please.
mjhal
sounds like you clutch has gone put handbrake on. put car in gear with clutch pressed , try to start car in gear and see if car trys to go forward
UglyBob23
It could be the clutch cable or fluid if it is a hydraulic clutch. I had similar symptoms and changing the clutch fluid solved it. If you try what 'mjhal' says make sure nothing is in front of you as the car will violently lunge forward if the clutch is engaged.
bouncing
The car is still drivable, I just have to use a bit of force to change gears.

frededwards
It sounds as if the hydraulic clutch needs bleeding or the fluid topping up/changing. It could be a leak in the slave cylinder, it's not a big job. If it's a cable clutch it may just need adjusting.
mr_arc
The car is still drivable, I just have to use a bit of force to change gears. Don't do this. Try and match the revs and it'll just slide into gear if you insist on driving it with now control of the clutch!
jza80
sounds like the clutch is not disengaging
GrannyGranny
As above, clutch master cylinder either needs bleeding or there's a leak. You can get seal repair kits to replace the perished old ones and then it will need to be bled.
