Whatever elements are employed to achieve this end is the prerogative of the performer. I just wish to be amused and for my audience to be amused. It sounds like you have 'comedy patter' between singing, miming and magic-performing. If I understand you correctly it sounds like your act is more suited to a multi-medium or cabaret setting.
