Harleyman
I prefer to make jokes at the expense of the living, especially those who are brain-dead.[/QUOTE] It takes a special kind of person to joke about one's self ---------- Post added 28-12-2012 at 21:49 ---------- Bloody rich boy Eaton toff! How dare he clutter up this country with clapped out old junk. I blame the Tories/Nick Clegg/The Coalition for all this nation's ills. Tut! tut! jealousy rears it's ugly head again. retrogo
Can I ask why would planes be buried anyway? Yes, it does seem stupid that they would burry them when the war was over. Not like it was Dun Kirk and they had to leave in a rush.

May 8 1945 WW2 (Germany surrenders unconditionally) Sept 2nd 1945 (Formal end of WW2) Asia Pacific. If correct Mountbatten could have ordered the burial just after the first date as we and other nations still had forces operating and fighting in the Pacific region.
