larky
Had a couple of tents off e-bay that had only been used one or twice for less than half the new price. I went camping once on LochEarnHead and was in middle of our Summer a good few yrs back on a fishing trip , Weather was far to nice warm sunny for fishing likes Though through the night was freezing, and still have that tent plus Mats for laying on, along with sleeping blankets, 2 small camping stoves and a camping lamp i bought before going, and only once used inc the tent , still in the house and wont get used again .. Found a washer on Gumtree, £90 ono Rang her, asked if she'll take £70 She said she'd take £40 if I came straight away :hihi:

There is no outlet with more prospective buyers than ebay so it stands to reason sellers will do better there but there are still many bargains to be had. Only yesterday i sold an item for £500 more than i bought it for just over a week ago and its not a one off. Knowledge is money

Glamrocker
I have been going on ebay for a long time now, in the past you were able to get brilliant bargains but now the bidding is dubious to say the least here is an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HTC-Desire-HD-1-5-GB-Black-locked-onto-3network-Smartphone-/150922775297?pt=UK_Mobile_Phones&hash=item2323b2cb01 check out the bid history on items and you will always see the same pattern. I ask myself these questions; who in their right mind bids on items days before it closes? who in their right mind as in the above example would bid up an item if they want to buy it eventually? How come people with no bid history(0)suddenly appear bid up items massively then dissapear. How come ebay allowed the "private bidders" listing where the identity is hidden so the item can easily be bid up would'nt have nothing to do with more fees for them would it? Then there is the extortionate postage fees the shop seller items that go from 99p with an hour or so to go then sky high by closing how do people really feel about ebay now?do you think its all gone corrupt because of greed? wheres the honesty gone or am i too cynical Its because its EBay doing the actual bidding up to the bidders top limit ,bid starts 99p you put a limit of say £10 ,every time someone bids it overbids by increments on your behalf hence the number of bids shown in bid history
