cheesemaster
After being unemployed for quite abit of time i decided to look for part time work, rather than just full time. And lucky me i got a job part time/casual about 3 month ago, yippie happy days, learn a new skill, meet new people etc, The problem being not doing enough hours to sign off, i was told when i declare my hours i would get £5 deducted from my jsa. I on average do 5 and a half hour every 2 week, big deal, most i did in a 2 week period was 8 and a half. I earn £36, and £11 of it goes on travel to and from as it's a nightime job. Yesterday i got a letter about my jsa, as of oct 4th i will now get £36.xxp per week, rather than £71 per week, this is due to a change in my earnings..... I ain't done 1 hour work the past two week, nor will i next week. So for me just being a member of staff i'm losing £70 of my jsa. I can't quite understand the logic of it, i would get more being a bum, not bothering to try to change my circumstances and playing ps3 all day. Anybody else come across the same thing? anywebsite
Yes, years ago. Took a casual job, declared it, lost more than I earned. It's always been like that.
cheesemaster
And they wonder why people don't want to work. Fine stop what i earn, but how they workout to stop double what i earn is retarded.
Leah-Lacie
I'm sure you should be showing them proof of earnings, so if you don't earn over a certain amount they still pay you full JSA. I think you can earn £10 without being affected (if I remember rightly) then anything after that is taken off pound for pound from your JSA. Bypassblade
If you are working P/T & as you say have told them, then you should be completing a form called a B7; so they can work out your average pay that you get. If you are not ask them for one, as they are not doing their job by not giving you said form.
