How much would drinks prices have to rise before you stop going to the pub?

This doesn't appear to be remotely true on a Friday night in town.

That's the night younger people tend to go out drinking. But not of many of them are doing so.

-65+ year olds

A fall in all age ranges except those above 65, who now visit the pub more often (and are better off than they ever have been).

The percentage of young pub goers (18-24 year olds) visiting the pub regularly – once a week or more – has plummeted from 38% to 16%. During this period, meanwhile, over 8000 pubs have closed across the country.
