Cool Beans & The Speakeasy are joining forces for one special night!

 

One evening of the finest electro-swing, swing ‘n’ bass, electro-blues, gypsy-swing and maybe even some classic swing.

 

The decor is going up, the props are coming out and if you’re lucky T-Funk might dish out one of his world-famous dance classes. Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for Get Down To The Savoy!

DUTTY MOONSHINE

The bad boys of electro-swing, Dutty Moonshine is the creation of Michael Rack and Alex Furley. Both were big DJ players in the scene before they turned to crossing the sounds of the early 20th century with modern basslines and chunky beats. Their passion for the vaudeville arts and sounds have seen them play various parts of Europe, headline some of the the UK's biggest clubs and absolutely smash big stages at festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival and Secret Garden Party. Their Soundcloud mixtapes are some of the finest around and their recent EPs have garnered acclaim by critics and punters alike. On top of all this they’re bringing their all new 4-deck show up to Sheffield for the very first time. Trust us, these guys never disappoint.

THE LEGITIMATE GENTLEMEN

Sheffield-based electro-swingers with a live touch; incorporating the saxophone, banjo and sampling into Fat Eddie’s tight productions. Fresh from completing a UK swing tour, the lads are ready to bring the Legitimate Gentlemen sound back home.

 

Plus DJs T-FUNK & ARNIVORE

Alongside swing honcho Walker, these two are arguably the only DJs in town pushing the electro-swing sound (if you know of anymore, send them our way!) and are guaranteed to keep the swingers swinging until the early hours.

 

Opens up at 10PM, goes on until 4AM. £3 on the door all night. Dutty Moonshine were only able to do an hour set last time they played Cool Beans, this time they’ll be rocking it for much longer!
