Well, due to popular demand we've put a selection of main dishes back on the menu So here you go - A taster of The Wick Autumn/Winter menu Wick & Mix: £3.95 each or 3 for £10 Duck Liver Terrine - Homemade duck liver and pressed pork terrine, served with toasted brioche and butter. Carpaccio of Smoked Venison - In house oak smoked venison haunch sliced thinly and served with a celeriac remoulade. (gf) Yorkshire Wontons - Filo pastry parcels stuffed with slow cooked beef shin, horseradish and spring onion, deep fried until crispy and served with a rich red wine gravy for dipping. Spiced Chicken Wings - Oven baked hot & spicy wings Fish Fingers - Coley fillet deep fried in local beer batter and served with minted pea purée. Salt & Chilli Squid - Calamari rings and tentacles fried in a chilli infused coating, served with homemade tartare sauce. Bloody Mary Stuffed Mushrooms - Button mushrooms roasted in our own Bloody Mary butter, topped off with creamy Irish goats cheese and sun blush tomatoes. (v, gf) Mains Ham, Egg & Chips 6.75 Slow cooked ham hock formed into thick patties, topped with poached egg and served with chips and homemade pineapple chutney. Grilled Tilapia 7.95 Popular Asian fish marinated in curry leaves, fresh ginger and garlic, with a warm spiced new potato and celeriac salad. Partridge 8.95 Pan fried, bacon wrapped partridge served pink on crushed new potatoes with a sweet beetroot and bramble sauce. (gf) Fish & Chips 6.95 Whole local beer battered coley fillet, served with chips, tartare sauce and minted pea purée. Bean, Pea & Walnut Salad 5.95 Thyme and tarragon marinated sprouting beans , peas and walnuts, dressed in sweet and sharp cider vinaigrette, served on a bed of watercress with sliced apple. (vv, gf) Chicken & Squash Tagine 6.75 Chicken and butternut squash cooked in a rich North African sauce and aromatic spices, served with warm pitta bread. (gf) Lamb Neck & Colcannon 7.95 Neck of lamb braised in red wine and Italian herbs, served on creamy colcannon. Plus Home made burgers and much more!
