sarahn
I've done a search and nothing really answers my query on previous similar questions... Got a Vauxhall Corsa to sell that's a 59 plate - don't want to do it via ebay or auto-trader as don't want timewasters etc. We buy any car etc don't appeal & values are low. Therefore thinking local garages...can anyone recommend a car dealer who is reasonable & helpful to deal with? Am I best looking at Vauxhall dealers or any dealers? geared
A car dealer won't give you a much better price than we buy any car, they both need to leave enough margin in there to turn a decent profit. If you want the best cash you pretty much have to sell it privately.
alchresearch
Check the Part-Ex price on Parkers for a rough guide (local demand often makes Parker's valuations useless) I picked the 59 plate 1.0i 12V Expression 3d as an example: If you part exchanged it you'd get £3510 at best. But if you sold it private you'd get £3800. Is it really worth losing upto £300 just to deal with a private buyer?
