Resident
I haven't read the documents myself yet but skimming the comments on the article and the comments what ATOS are planning to do regarding staff and training is deplorable. It's about time that we as the people asked for a vote of no confidence to be entered against this goverment and a general election forced early. Haven't read it, but do we know what the other parties view on ATOS is before we all rush and vote ? Remain far from convinced any of them will change it. Darth Vader
Astonishingly Atos claim in their tender that they have a “successful record of engagement with Claimant Representative Groups”, including direct action campaign group Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC). In truth DPAC have been behind many of the protests held outside Atos’ offices including the recent well attended protest at their London headquarters which was followed by an occupation of the DWP. DPAC are seeking legal advice on challenging Atos’ lie in their tender for the lucrative PIP contract. Is lying inherent and encouraged as the company model, then? It is time the national scandal of how the disabled and ill are being treated is addressed. When the Nazis came for the communists, I remained silent; I was not a communist. When they locked up the socialists, I remained silent; I was not a socialist. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I remained silent; I wasn’t a Jew. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out. Actually, the Nazis targetted disabled people first http://njnnetwork.com/2010/03/hitlers-euthanasia-program-murdered-disabled-first/ We all need to speak out for the disabled. Not, because they are not capable of speaking for themselves, but because it is our duty as human beings.
