RootsBooster
If an agonistic thinks nothing can be known about the nature of God, where did the Knowledge that God is a Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe come from, its meaningless because you already decided that nothing can be known, to conclude that nothing can be known you would have to know something, it’s a contradiction. Is that better? There is no such knowledge, that's just a belief.
RootsBooster
Mr Smith always did have a habit of confusing things resulting in his misunderstanding. Oops, did I say that out loud :-P Heheh, I thought the "what is the definition of God" thing was familiar
maxmaximus
Most likely EDIT: Or rather it's a meaningless concept BECAUSE it is something that can't be known It’s only meaningless until the theists come up with an agreed definition, at which point something might be known, they might decide that God is in fact an advanced alien life form capable of creating life on earth. maxmaximus
There is no such knowledge, that's just a belief. But it’s a theist’s belief and not an agnostic’s belief.

maxmaximus
Yes. Your point is? That an agnostic's claim that nothing can be known about the nature of God relies on the belief of a theist. If you don’t know what God is you can’t know that nothing can be known about the nature of God.
quisquose
Tut tut quisquose, you assume I discuss whether or not God exists? Think back, have you ever heard me actually discuss this? What are we discussing in this thread right now - agnosticism and atheism Fair enough. Perhaps we're apathetic ignostic agnostic atheists then. If you don’t know what God is you can’t know that nothing can be known about the nature of God. No, but you can believe or think that nothing can be known about the nature of God. Is it sinking in yet?
