DerbyTup
Beauchief and Dev at Middle Handley are good shouts - but you've got a very nice place a bit nearer than Middle Handley if you fancy a very nice pub with good food. The Cricket Inn at Totley Bents. It's a bit pricey but it is upmarket, traditional cosy inn, with nice food. And it's only about 10 mins drive from Ecclesall area. (Drive through Dore village, turn right past the church, keep going straight on all the way until you reach the Crown pub and turn right there). here... http://www.cricketinn.co.uk/home.html
Claret
The Beauchief http://www.thebeauchief.com/home.html or The Devonshire http://www.devonshirearmsmiddlehandley.com/ Either of these should impress your mum I agree and would also throw in Wig & Pen or Milestone into the mix....! trina_399
thanks so much for everyone's help. I will definatly find somewhere nice among those suggestions to take mum to and might just have to find an excuse to visit the rest of them over the next few weeks!
