Old scars revisited

Somebody mentioned, on another thread, of a scar still visible in the middle of his forehead. It was done by a brick and thrown many years ago.

I got to thinking about my own scars. Physical mind, not mental. One of my favorits is the one on a finger, which I sustained when my Grandad's knife snapped shut across it when I was about four years old. Another one is just above my right knee. It was made by a pen, stuck in there by a kid in the same desk as me at Pyebank. The pen had ink on it and I can still see the blue mark. I gave him a scutch on the head and got the stick. They don't make ink like that anymore. And if you're out there Sammy, the torch still burns.
