Harriet Harman, a sound person?

Recommended Posts

Maybe cos its regarded that the Tories are the posh party, so they like to mention that an ex miner is one of them? Seems ok to me

Id rather have a mix of ex bankers and ex miners in charge than a collective of ex Poly lecturers, social workers and political idealogues

I'd rather have some competent politicians in charge, regardless of background.

It seems that I'll be waiting at least a year or two for that.

There seems to be a dearth of rumours about it on the web. Probably because the powerful have powerful lawyers.

If you saw Panorama last night and read between the lines a bit, there were a few hints.

This stuff doesn't obey the rules of party politics. it just takes opportunity where it finds it.

I honestly can't find anything about the current government. Can you give me a clue?

I think you'll have to wait a long, long time. Unless of course something happens to kick the current shower of crap out and stop the next (Labour) shower of crap getting into power.

Sometimes this country, or great sections of it, seems to thrive in an adversarial environment. It seems to come naturally to us. The main political parties play this out on a grand scale and it seems to suit at least 70% of the population.

Unless there's a sea-change in British attitudes we'll get what we want - a government and an opposition that play out a game where they look as if they hate each other to the core. Which I'm not convinced is actually the reality of it.

Which brings me back to Harriet Harman. She is very effective at the dispatch box and very good at PMQs. Cameron is moderately scared of her.

She looks better with her hair longer though.

You and me too mate.........All I want from a politician is honesty and decency, one who will support a good proposal regardless from which side it comes. Somehow I do get the impression that Smarmy Dave dosn't fit the bill at all and Tony B Liar was nowhere near being a socialist.

No point mentioning Clegg, he's just a waster.

She wouldnt be an anything boy would she..... and I dont think she would like you for that.....

Why are the Miners regarded as the ultimate in Lefty Workers when they got thrashed by Thatcher? Rightly so for trying to start a revolution based on the past :D

Did you know the NUM were lent nuclear missiles by the Soviets and that Arthur Scargill received free samples of Chinese tea and Korean gingseng for consumption at branch meetings?

George Osborne taught History at Teeside Poly,Teresa May was a social worker for Chelsea and Kensington Borough, and finally Michael Gove was photographed on a journalists picket line, supporting print-workers.
